The short answer

The WhatsApp Business Platform provides APIs that let business software send and receive WhatsApp messages under Meta's rules. A product such as ConnektFlow adds the interface and configured workflows a business uses for campaigns, customer replies and follow-ups.

Three parts work together

The messaging platform

Meta operates the WhatsApp Business Platform. Business account and number requirements, message templates, messaging permissions and platform policies affect what can be sent.

The software your team uses

ConnektFlow provides the campaign, conversation and workflow experience described on this website. Your team can use the shared inbox to manage replies, while configured automation handles defined parts of the process.

The business information behind a workflow

A message may need an order event, customer detail or other confirmed source. Shopify is a documented ConnektFlow integration. A hotel booking system, CRM or other operational system needs its own scope check; access to WhatsApp does not automatically connect those systems.

What should you prepare for setup?

Identify the business account and number you intend to use, the team responsible for access and the first workflow you want to test. Clarify audience permission, any required templates and the information the workflow needs. Number eligibility and onboarding steps depend on the actual account, so review them before making changes to an existing number.

Do not send passwords, access tokens or customer lists through a public demo form. Use the agreed secure process when account access is required.

Why can a team not always send a free-form reply?

WhatsApp applies a customer-service messaging window. Outside that window, an appropriate approved template is required to initiate or resume eligible business messaging. Sending a template alone does not reopen unrestricted replies; the customer's response matters. Build the process around the current platform rules rather than treating a template as a bypass.

What should a quote explain?

Ask what is covered by the software subscription, what setup work is included and which channel or usage charges are separate. If AI assistance is involved, confirm its allowance and overage terms. Compare the total setup and usage basis, not just one advertised subscription figure.

Common questions

Is ConnektFlow the WhatsApp platform itself?

No. ConnektFlow is software used with business messaging capabilities; Meta operates the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Does using an API mean every workflow needs AI?

No. Rules-based messages and actions can work without an AI add-on.

Does it replace every business system?

No. Messaging, customer support, booking inventory and accounting are different responsibilities. Verify the connections needed for your process.
